School Bus Drivers
A Commercial Driving License (CDL) is required for Bus Driver positions. If you don’t have a CDL, we will assist you in obtaining it and provide you with hands-on training before you begin driving on your own. Once you receive your CDL permit, you will be eligible to work a maximum of 15 hours per week.
School Bus Aides
In addition to School Bus Drivers, we utilize bus aides to assist the drivers while on their routes. This position is ideal for people who love children and wish to help keep them safe by reducing in-bus distractions so the drivers can focus on their driving.
Flexible schedules are available so you have the option of working in the morning, afternoon, or both.

- If we contact you following your application submission, candidates should then obtain a CDL license manual which you will study for taking the test:
- Download PDF from the New Jersey DMV website.
- Get a physical copy from the DMV at 199 East Broadway in Salem NJ (1st floor).
- Review and study sections 1-5 and 10. Chapters 11 and 12 are for the skills test only. The other chapters will not be on the test.
- Contact us with any questions regarding the material in the manual and we will be happy to assist you.
- Candidates are required to have a pre-employment physical to be taken at one of the following locations:
- Pandolfo Chiropractic and Rehab (Clarksboro)
- Optum Urgent Care (Pennsville)
- Dr. Andrew Herman (Gloucester County)
- Upon passing the physical, candidates much purchase a CDL Learner’s Permit from the DMV at 199 East Broadway in Salem NJ. Note that a minimum of 6 (six) points will be needed to qualify for a permit.
- A background check including finger printing is required. Wyshinski Bus schedules and pays for this expense after the driver receives their CDL permit.
- Candidates must pass the DMV test.
- Full information on obtaining the CDL can be found at https://www.state.nj.us/mvc/drivertopics/gettingcdl.htm.
- Prior to scheduling the test, we advise taking on-line practice tests. Please DO NOT be discouraged if it takes multiple times to pass the various sections – this is normal.
- Once the driver passes the test and has their CDL permit, we will schedule on-the-road training with our trainer. The training process takes several weeks and you will receive training pay during this time.
